I'm going to go look at a model 29-3 at a LGS tomorrow (Friday). They said that it is in like new condition with a 6" barrel with bright nickel finish. I don't know if it has the original box or not.

They are asking $900 for it. I really don't know if that is a fair price or not, so I would really like to hear what everyone else thinks a fair price would be base on it being in a LIKE NEW condition that they claim it is.

I'm not sure what current prices are, but that's more than I would pay for a M29-3. If it was a M29-2 I might be more tempted.
Then again, I'm kinda cheap.:D

I'm with P&R Fan. The -3 is the engineering change that eliminated the pinned barrel and counterbored cylinder. I know some will say that the change was minimal, but as I look at my -2's I see craftsmanship on the way down on the -3's. Full disclosure...I don't own a 29-3. I have looked at several.

For me, $900 is high, even for LNIB/nickel 29-3. But, who knows? Not me. It could turn out to be a killer good shooter. I am also partial to the 4" -2's.

I have a nickel 29-3. It is a good shooter in maybe 95% shape. I think I payed maybe $450 for it 18 months ago. I know things have jumped in price, but not double. Wait a couple of months for the market to calm back down. This is a sellers market now not a buyers market.
