Vanderbilt takes down No. 1 Alabama

As an Auburn grad and fan, I was well pleased with Vandy beating UA. Yes, even though AU was beaten by UGA. Too bad that UA team captain had to show his *** on national TV by throwing stuff and kicking the ball. Back in my day he would be watching the next game from the bench. Anyway, adversity builds character; football is such a sport that you can't win every game. The SEC is tough, toughest in the nation IMHO.

I think the portal and NIL has created anarchy. The norms are out the window for now, it will stabilize over time, but talent will not be as concentrated as it has been in the past.

I am fearful that college football is going the way of the do do bird. I do not want he who has the biggest budget to be the winner.

Around here it has trickled down as predicted. HS athletes are now allowed to cash in on NIL.

This early in the season, are rankings really relevant?
Every bit as much as the Heisman watch
