Fixing up the battered box that came with a 27-2.
Joe Cebull took care of the insides.
Outside, I've stripped the old varnish, steamed out all the dents and sanded it to a 320 finish.
Now its time for some varnish.
Figured to use a rattlecan of clear gloss poly from WallyWorld.
But, just wondering if theres any special varnish spray thats specially recommended?

I'm not a fan of spray poly, I really like the Minwax wipe-on poly because it allows better control in the application and much easier to apply and doesn't have that heavy look to it.

Next in line that I use is the Deft spray lacquer. Very easy to apply, not as durable as poly, but much more durable than Shellac, especially against water.

i have only refinished one using spray lacquer. Several very light coats. It came out great and looks just like factory finished boxes.
