Very few people vote...but I do

I have voted in every national election since 1972, and almost all local ones. I may have missed 2 or 3, by actually just forgetting. Contact your elected officials when an issue is important to you. They don't know what is important to you unless you tell them.

Ive missed one vote session I can think if--but that was when I was in hospital for double stapf infection. Ill be voting in the up coming Nov elections. Wonder if illget to be Election Judge again??

In the last presidential elections we had in our country I went to vote and wrote "I cannot vote for a socialist" on the voting card. Both final candidates were socialists, and unfortunately all the parties here are socialist by their actions: more power to the state, higher taxes, more regulations, more public servants.

There is a huge difference in what the parties publicize as their principles and goals and what they do in reality. In the ads we have left and center and right, but in real life they all support the same power grabs to the state.

Can't bitch about the politicians if you didn't vote the way I see it !!

The Constitution would disagree with you.

Just because someone doesn't exercise one right. It doesn't mean they lose another. You might not like it but there are very good reasons for this.

I vote.

First of all, no politics. Don't want to get any dings or have the thread locked.

.....and you seriously believe that won't happen?
That is like setting an open jar of honey on an anthill and telling the ants you're going to discuss honey, but not eat honey.

Actually I read where more people voted in Chicago than actually live there! I'm guessing the census folks just miscounted. Just saying.

Unfortunately voting has very little effect as all the parties are part of the same power hungry machine.

It is time for new ways of organizing a society to appear. If you asked me the main principles would be distribution of power instead of concentrating it and voluntary payments instead of taxes collected by threat of force. The Libertarians are closest to these ideals.

Vote Early and Often

Stay off the politics, folks.
Stay WAY off. ;)
