Our 18 year old grand daughter was supposed to enter college next week.

She was a top honor student in high school with a 4.0+ GPA.

Planned to be a teacher.

She was admitted to a top college. And given a big scholarship.

But a week before HS graduation she suffered some kind of mental breakdown.

No one knows the cause or solution.

She can barely talk. Can't write. Does not respond when you talk to her.

I don't know what God has planned for her -- perhaps nothing.

Pray for her.

Very sad.

Happened to a childhood friend of mine... one of the smartest, brightest kids I ever knew. Intellectually, a near genius. Who knows why these things happen? :(

Prayers offered for your granddaughter. :o

Father in heaven we ask that you reach down and touch her and take away all the things that make her sick and heal her body and mind and make it healthy and strong again. Take away her pain, illness, suffering, fear, worries, and hurt and help her to make a quick recovery where this problem will never come back again and help the family members, friends, and all who love her and give them peace and comfort and let them know that her healing is in your hands and in your control and bless this family and give them strength. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Very sad, and I am sure you are doing all that you can for her. Hopefully this is a temporary setback and nothing more. There is a lot of pressure on the kids of today, both by their peers, and themselves. A 4.0 GPA while admirable is very stressful. I do hope that it is nothing more than a temporary psychotic break. I wish you and your family the very best of news and a quick recovery for what seems to be an amazing young woman
