Very sad - Prayer Request

A former co-worker's son developed such an issue about ten years ago. It happened every summer for about three years. No explanation for his depression and withdrawal from society. Then it stopped and never came back.

Two things occurred at that time. The young man's girlfriend sold her horse and my co-worker sold his cabin cruiser. The young man spent a lot of time on the boat and at the stable. Looking back, they believe he was in contact with toxic molds from either or both places.

Look into her surroundings.

I 2nd this and what someone else said about taking her to medical doctors. There are some weird diseases and parasites that can cause symptoms that may mimic mental problems. (Can't think of one in particular that popped into my head but will try to remember.) They can be hard to diagnose so could take a few doctors and lots of tests. No guarantee it's something like this but better to get it ruled out.

Thoughts are with you and hope for an answer and recovery.

Prayers for your granddaughter.

A good friend went through a similar experience during our college days. He spent a few weeks in a mental hospital, but he recovered nicely and has lived a productive and happy life. Your granddaughter will likely be fine as well.

Don't give up hope!

Just now found your post. There is no wound, no pain worse than when something touches the life of your child, grandchild. Just about one and all of us are fathers/grandfathers. Certainly all of us will be praying for your granddaughter ... as well as you and your family. I will share this need with the men at my church. I will share this need from the pulpit in the 8:30 and 11 AM worship services this coming Sunday morning. Please do keep us updated on how things progress with your granddaughter. Sincerely. bruce.

This is sad to read. As others have said, sometimes there can be obscure medical issues - tumors, parasites, etc. Keep everyone working forward.

First thing I would check is vitamin B12 levels...as a severe deficiency can have any number of bizarre symptoms.
