I was shooting plates tonite at the club. First 3 strings were good. One the 4th string, loaded the mag, racked the slide, pulled the trigger and no bang. Thought it was a light strike. Racked a fresh round and nothing. The trigger spring is broke? No movement when the trigger is depressed. I will field strip tomorrow and maybe I see a problem?

Any ideas?

Check the firing pin spring. My Victory has bout 15k rounds on it and I have broken 2 so far.

I just ordered 3 firing pin springs plus a new firing pin from Tandemkross. Thanks for the tip.

firing pin spring is good. Now I am thinking it is the mag disconnect that is the problem. Need to remove the TK Hive grips next to see. Will do that later as the wife and I are going out and about this afternoon. Will give a report then.

Took the grips off and found the mag disconnect spring had come out of the slot and prevented it was engaing with the mag. Dry fired ok. Will test fire Sunday or Monday to make sure it is okay.

Wonder how it came loose???

yep, hope so. Just curious how the spring came out of the slot. The grips are attached firmly.

Don't have any ideas as to your issue but our 3 week old Victory PC had fte, ftf, and stovepipe issues. We sent it back to Smith and tomorrow it will be one month with no idea when it will be back.

Bummer. Mine is about 1 years old. Did have to send back to S&W last fall. Chip was missing out of the white nylon bumper on the frame. Got it back in a couple of weeks good as new. Other than that no FTE, etc. Been a real good gun. Keep us posted on yours.

My S&W Model 22S has been fun to own, fires all brands of ammo, and has only needed cleaning the last 20 years. Well goody for me, but I see a lot of posts about Victory problems, and some may be better served by the older S&W 22 handguns?

Put the spring back in position and shot about 20 rounds rapid fire this afternoon. No problems at all. Still curious as to how the spring came out of the slot that keeps it compressed.

Shot plates with it at the club Wednesday evening. No issues at all!!! Finished 3rd and won a few bucks.

I answered on this post that my wife had the same issues and that the gun was sent back to Smith. Ok, update, we got the gun back a few days ago, went to the range and it jammed on the second round. Manual ejection after manual ejection, very embarassing. Numerous members came over offering help which did not work and also stating that they would stay clear of the Victory as the forums are loaded with the same unsolved issues! We are stuck with this firearm and if it goes back this will just start the merry-go-round of not having a firearm for pleasure as it will spend most of the time in the post office! Smith's great reputation is no longer!

I guess I have been pretty lucky with my Victory. Shoots all types of ammo. I have added a few things from Tandemkross such as Hive grips, extended mag release, Halo, extractor and extended saftey. Also added a extended rail but don't remember who I bought it from. I have polished the the wear surfaces on the bolt, and frame. Seems to help. I always clean and lube after each range trip whether I shoot 5 or 500 rounds. Other than the mag safety spring popping out and a piece of the nylon bumper coming off (I did send back and they replaced and I then realized the notch is factory!!!) I am happy with the Victory.

I really have not complaint with my PC Victory.
Except perhaps the muzzle break is hard to clean.
I do shoot my 617 about as good though.

The Victory is my favorite .22 pistol. I like it so much that I have two, one with and optic mounted, one without. My oldest Victory did have some ejection problems early on but a minor tweak by bending the ejector solved it and it's been great ever since. At around 20,000 rounds, I had a gunsmith replace all of the springs. I haven't been shooting it quite as much as I used to but when I do, it still runs flawlessly.

I need to try the ejector bend but not sure where to bend
I believe it is to be bent inward. I am trying to find a diagram showing the ejector. I replaced the extractor, spring and plunger with TK products.

Bent the ejector in a couple thousandths on mine and had only 1 FTE in 300+ rounds.

I wouldn't say that. They are willing to address the issue. And depending on how new it is it may require some break in time. It may also be a case of the gun being ammo picky, especially until it breaks in.Before sending it back again I'd suggest getting a few different brands of ammo and running it a little on the wet side to see if that helps.
