Picked up a victory model number 252505 awhile back, I have not sent off for a letter, was just wondering rough ship date. It is marked us navy on the side and flaming bomb on butt

The V is part of the serial number, so your gun is V252505. The Navy stamping is on the top strap, not on the side. The gun shipped to the Navy in May, 1943. Ed.
