Protesters shut down a Chicago interstate by marching en mass. Among there demands were more resourced, jobs, better schools and stronger gun laws.

The only thing that will reduce violence is for criminals to decide that they won't use violence, gun or otherwise. The other conditions will come naturally when that criteria is met.

The mayor relented and gave his blessing. Chief of police marched along with the Father. It is all meaningless political BS.
The mayor is hated by all. More now that a major highway shuts down.
I don't know anyone who cares. Particularly those who do the shooting.
All are nameless on purpose.

I don't like popcorn, so I'm out.

Yep. Probably a good time to back away from the computer...start thinking about dinner and maybe a cold beer. Or a cold beer, then think about dinner.

The protesters think more restrictive gun laws will stop the gang violence. They are dreaming. The criminal street gangs don't respect the current gun laws. Why would any sane person think the criminal street gangs will abide by any further gun laws? Until Chicago decides to crush the criminal street gangs, their violence will continue. I believe this is called Preaching To The Choir.

Kinda, da ja vue.......1968 Chicago.... It was a hot spring & summer........

.

Frankly, I been telling people things are looking like Chicago 68, Detroit 67 & 68. Except this time you can see the angry all across the country. This summer is looking violent.

Blocking the Interstate just adds more angry. None of this is good for America.

We've had the same thing happening in Pittsburgh the last few weeks. The powers-that-be have decided to let the protesters block major roads.
I'm not on one side or the other, but I'm pretty sure if I stand in the middle of 376 East with a sign decrying Chick-Fil-A being closed on Sundays, I will be removed (or just run over.)
We are a nation of laws. Those laws must be applied evenly or equally, or the whole thing shuts down.
Not being applied equally is why most folks distrust the gov't so much.

What I found interesting is the national TV media kept calling this an anti-gun rally. Not what it really was.

Anytime Father Pfleger shows up on camera it's all about taking gun right's away from the law abiding gun owners.

He's all for gang banger's, drug pushers and anarchy in Chicago.
Ask any cop in Chicago.
