"VJL"

The only "special" serial number I have is on my AR-15. I know a guy who makes AR lowers and will do custom serial numbers. I had him put my initials and badge number on as the serial number.

Very cool!

It will always be yours and yours alone.

He also marked the selector switch "Safe" and "Get off my lawn." :)

^^^ I absolutely LOVE this!!! :D :D :D

Since this thread has gone the way it has....

I bought an excellent demilled German HKMP5 for cheap and sent it off to, (in my opinion,) the best guy to put it "back". I got a test target and a video of it running FULL auto when I received it.

It was serial #0088. I really and actually sent an email to JR offering to just give it to him. (I figured he could afford to get it to run full auto, I can't.)

Surprisingly I NEVER heard back from him. :D

I was always impressed with the way the German engineers at Heckler and Koch ran with the Spanish CETME design and the "roller delayed unlocking". Very clever.

Back in the day, the gun mags told of the MP5 and especially the MP5k to be the preferred choice of undercover operators.

Are you talkin' Dale JR.?

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he already has a couple...

Or three! :D

Nice!

Did you choose the numbers or was it the luck of the draw?

John

Luck of the draw for veteran plates. So till my state changes the plate design and I don't sell the vehicles should have for a while. Though when I do sell my bike I'll be sure to have a new one lined up to keep the same plate.

The delightful surprise of serendipity can often be as satisfying as the culmination of a well executed plan! :D

53 was a very good year........

Overall not really ...... that said I would like a birth year gun..... my first choice would be a .357 4" Combat Magnum..... which is impossible.

About a year back I bought myself a retirement gift ..... a Wilson Combat Centurion...... the Serial # is my month and year of birth 1153..... missed getting my month and day by 24 hours 119..... didn't want to wait for 11953

:D

More age trivia: I'm 7 days older than you.

Boy , Talk about a bunch of old guys in this section of the forum. Ha ha, I was born in 52 graduated HS in 70 drafted in the summer of 71 and I don't feel as old as I look. Still think I'm 25 and I will play with guns and cars until the big sleep.
