My Dad was a kid on the farm during WWII. All ammo was in short supply. Farmers were "alloted" a couple boxes of shotgun shells periodically for pest control.
My Dad was a kid on the farm during WWII. All ammo was in short supply. Farmers were "alloted" a couple boxes of shotgun shells periodically for pest control. He said it was very hard to have enough to go hunting. After the war and after I came along he always kept enough ammo to feed our guns. He's gone now but I've always adhered to the same principle.
They can't just ban .223 cause it was supposedly what was used in one shooting. .223 is just as much for bolt guns as AR's.
My local Wal-Mart is bare as well. A few weeks ago they got large shipment of .223 American Eagle in and they sold quickly. I bought about 300 rounds mostly for the brass (I re-load) due to not being able to find any brass locally or online.
Dicks Sporting Goods is bare as well other than CCI "Choot Em" for 29.99 a box which is high to me.
