2 or 3 months ago the Walmart store in Del City quit selling ammo. I have checked it a few times and nothing. Yesterday I was going by Sporting Goods and the ammo stock was back and much more plentiful.
They even had 3 brands of bulk 22's.

Ammo seems to plentiful everywhere now . The shelves at the local Cabelas is overflowing now .

The Wal-Mart in Grants Pass Or. has lots of ammo now[3 kinds of .22 ammo-no .22 Mags.].2 months ago-very limited supply.Twice the price of 2 years ago, tho. :(

Our local WallyWorld has 9x19 in stock consistently now, for the first time in over a year. The price is under $10 for 50.

The sad thing is, there's no selection. Want some .357? Hope you like 110 grain bullets... .38Spl? 125 grains, take it or leave it... :(

Bought four boxes of 100 ct WW White Box .45acp ball in Lubbock, Tx last weekend. First I've seen in a long time.

Rule 303

WW is pretty good here in Kalifornia currently. 45 seems to be the one caliber that is still lacking and of course I have two 45's.

North Phoenix had the mega packs (yellow box UMC) 250 round .45 for $84 a box a while back. I asked how many I could buy and he said 6. Budget stretched to three - and they were heavy to carry out. Should have bought six - darn it. $16.50 a box of 50 for reloadable brass made in America. Should have bought six....

Saw 2 boxes of WW .380 yesterday, plus 6 boxes of WW 9mm at Wallyworld. Nice to see. Left them for the next guy.

Here is something I figured out.

Yesterday evening, me and the Mrs. went to our local walmart and while she did her thing, I went to the ammo counter. By golly, they had bulk packs of .22's, but the price was now $18.97!

You have got to be kidding me- they want that much for that junk? For a bit more, you can get good ammunition!

I think for no more than the price difference, I'll save my money for a case of Winchester Super-X HP's, and they are only $27.00 or so a brick, and I know they will go *bang* every time.

Yep. ;)

The WM in our area (Poway/Santee, CA) are really hit n' miss on availability. I was stunned to actually see 1 .45ACP bulk pack last week so o' course bought it up right away. They have the "six (6) product maximum" signs up as well.

Tho' last week the one in Santee DID have a ton o' .223 and .308, and a seeming good variety of other rifle cal.

The original Wally World in Bowling Green had everything you ever wanted for a pistol, as long as it was .40 S&W, three full shelves full and nothing else. Almost convinced me to get that 4013TSW I have been wanting and start hand loading for the .45's

Walmarts in Cuyahoga County range from having nothing (depending on the demographics) to having a decent selection of basic ammo for plinking, small game and even big game hunting. My favorite Walmart has lots of .40, 9mm, 22 lr , shotsells (shot and slug) and even decent rifle ammo. I even get domestic 7.62x39 but they only get 1 box at a time and i buy it. Yes I know about Wolf and others. In rural areas its another story at least in ohio. .22 hornet and .222 remington hows that! I have learned not all Wal-marts are managed or created equal.
Some have good quality Scopes yes. Nikons and I even saw leupold once. Not too bad. Some are better than others and even the good stores can suck on occasion.

I bought a 250 round "mega-pack" of .45 hardball today at a WM on Eisenhower Parkway in MaconGa. Eighty-four-ninety-seven plus tax came to almost exactly $90 including tax. That would be $360 per 1000 rounds, including tax for Remington-UMC reloadable brass-cased ammo. Can that price be beat online anywhere, considering shipping, etc.? They had three or four of the mega-packs. I am trying to limit ammo purchases to $100 per month now, or I would have gotten a couple of them.

When will I know to quit?
