Hello all

I didnt see anything about this on the forum so if I am DBL posting I appologize .

I am going to post a Link here to something I was sent, Now i do not always agree 100% with everything he says I do feel that this merits a look. I can say that for the lat weeks it has been impossible for me to be able to find any ammo I am looking for 9mm, .38, .357 at ant of the 4 local walmart supercenters around me (all within a 20-25 drive). When I called 2 stores today to check availabilty and spoke with the Dept Mgrs (dont know if that make any difference) they could not tell me when any more would be coming in, and were clearly uneasy speaking about it in the sense of why they couldnt answer it, if they were the "Dept Mgr" anyway with all the hoopla going on and the planned events for the 19th just thought I would throw this out there.

If Wally World dosen't buy it, more mom and pops will. Prices will drop. Supplies will be plentiful. They aren't going to stop making it because wal mart won't stock it. Remember, it's not illegal to produce or sell. AND, walmart is NOT the only place to shop!

No is not, however for range ammo, they were the cheapest at 12.99 for a box of 9mm. Looks like I may be buying elsewhere, but thats not the real point of the Video....

I am not either but if saving $3-4 a box meaning that 4th box of 50 would be same as free if comparing to BPS. Is Whay i would go there however the current management that is now running Walmart is far from what Mr. Walton had in mind and was doing while he was still around. it just the same thing as Dick's and Kmart doing pretty much the same thing back in the 90's. I dont shop at either. Walmart used to have a decent Hunting and Fishing section in their stores, but nowadays its a joke 2-3 isles of ****. And i'll talk smack about Walmart because of the fact of how they treat my 77yo Mom who works there 40 hrs a week. They do not care about their employees, like they used to.And why with the exception of ammo I refused to buy anything else there and havent in probably 12 years (other than the mentioned ammo). The bigger issue is that the goverment is they are doing this with walmart, who is next.....espically if Walmart agrees, it gives them leverage

In case it matters to anyone, WalMart climbed into bed with the Mayors against guns campaign and my suspicion is that their interest in the current malarkey is that they would like to see internet ammo sales and gun shows go away (purely for humanitarian reasons, you understand).

I guess we may find out soon what they have to say about this, since they are somehow part of the political process now (personally, I think that if WalMart gets to play, Brownells, Midway and GunsAmerica should be invited, too.)

Give Wal-Mart another 10 years and they'll

be able to demand a SEAT AT THE UN.

Maybe one on the SECURITY COUNCIL.

I dunno, the walmart near me doesn't sell guns. Their ammo section is usually pretty picked over, but going in a different times (days) I see that the shelves' stock levels change daily. I suspect that WalMart hasn't been getting the ammo in as fast as they are selling it. (The way they restock is strange, odds are good that they will have none for a while, and as soon as the current rush for ammo ends they will have TONS for a long time.)

For now I pick up a box of my favorite .38/.357 when they have it in stock... outside of that... well I am gonna be placing an online order here soon which should hopefully keep mine fed for a while.

The Walmarts here don't sell guns, but they sell ammo. 50 rounds of Winchester Super X 22LR, for $8.99. 2 Months ago I paid $7.99 for 100 rounds of CCI.
Yesterday I sent Walmart HQ an email, but I honestly don't expect much. I can shop for everything in life I need elsewhere anyway.

Been to 3 local wm's all 3 have a good selection of different
ammo but not a huge quantity

Ammo has never been stocked quickly at Wal-Mart. I think the increased demand is just making that more apparent.

I was heading back the ammo case myself 2 days ago and passed a guy who had 5 x 100rd 40cal Federal bulk boxes in his cart. It was 11:30PM. He must of caught the guy stocking it.

When I got back there the guy was stocking other calibers. A lot of Russian brand cartridges. .38, .357, 45ACP. No Federal bulk packs left.

Only ammo I've really ever bought there has been bird shot and those Federal 100pk 9mm deals.

I've tried to understand Walmart's rational in how they stock ammo. I've heard theories galore, but nothing definitive.

Well you can look at it like this... If you think they will knuckle under tell them by email or letter (talking to store or department managers doesn't work) that you support the 2nd admendmnt and if they don't you will stop shopping there. They probaly don't care but it wouldn't hurt. They went this rout a couple years ago here in WV and stopped selling firearms at a lot of stores, (this was when the CEO from Target took over) didn't last long as they are back to selling firearms again. Guess they saw they could make money in this market. It is better to try to head something off before it happens then try to change it back after the fact.
