Warren, not Warrent. (wish we could edit titles)

Any of y'all have these on your Shield?

I really like the black rear, fiber optic front setup.

I have the 10-8 performance version on my FS 9mm. But, I left the factory sights on my Shield in the event I need to see them in low light situations.

I have the Warren tactical site on the rear of my M&P 9c along with a Trijicon night site on the front, and like it a lot. I have been thinking about this set up on my Shield.

This is my old M&P 40c with the same set up.

I have the Warren tactical (plain) sights on several M&Ps, and had them on my Shield (which I sold). The base of the Warren sight is a tad wider than the standard Shield sights but they fit without protruding. I use either the Hi-Viz front sight (very good) or the Novak fiber optic front sight (superb) to replace the standard front sight(s). A night sight on the front would work fine, too.

All this sight changing is best accomplished with a MGW sight pusher, which I bought for around $125. It is fantastic, and does a great job. Someday, when I settle down on exactly what I want my M&Ps to do, I will sell it on eBay or the S&W Forum classifieds -- and I bet I can get close to $100 for it. So much better than pounding on sights with a punch/hammer.

The Warrens are great for me. I can pick up the target quickly and am very accurate (relative to my usual accuracy) with them. Since the U is a a bit wider, it is a little harder to achieve top accuracy with them (since you have to allow equal amounts of light on either side of the front sight, and it is a little harder to gauge when there is more room there). But, this is the price you pay for faster acquisition and greater "practical" accuracy. With my eyes, and less than stellar hold-on-target, the trade-off is greatly in my favor, and I achieve very good accuracy (for me) with the Warren sights!

That's interesting. I could get a sight pusher and do my own. If I do it just a few times the tool will pay for itself.

I recommend getting a sight pusher if you intend to take sights off, or adjust them, on a M&P! It is expensive, but use it twice, and it is cheaper than a gunsmith. And it does a good job. And it has residual resale value of (I estimate) 75%.
