We adopted a little girl today-WITH PICS

Since the loss of my German Shepherd over 20 years ago, we have not had another dog. I do not have the time they deserve and require, and maybe I just don't have the heart to replace him.

One day though, maybe when I retire for good, and I want a little girl, just like yours!

Pretty dog.

Congrats on a great little dog! I hope you and she will have many wonderful, happy and loving years together.

Dogs have always been indispensible in my life since my first one. Fritz was a mongrel dachshund, and he was my constant companion from age 13 to 21. I still keep a picture of him right next to the one of my parents. I miss him still.

I also had a German Shepherd years ago, "Sam." I had him well trained. One day I took him with me to the barber shop, and as instructed, he waited outside the door for me to rejoin him. When he came out, I walked him on a short leash to a thoroughfare crosswalk, and stopped to let the traffic go on. A car came to a screeching stop at the crosswalk, and I wondered why. Then it dawned on me that he thought I was blind, and that Sam was my seeing-eye dog! Not wishing to let his gesture of helpfulness go unrewarded, I motioned Sam ahead and walked tentatively across the crosswalk with my eyes squinted!

Man, if you don't like dogs I don't like you! That's about how I pick my friends. I've found if you don't like pets you just ain't a nice person! She's a beauty!

Nice pup....Treasure them for they are not with us for long.My dogs(3) are my only company. My one worry is that I will go first and no none will take care of them.

Beautiful lil girl! Bless you for giving her a home. She will reward you many times over!
