if you find it and you have the cash, you can buy it.

sarcasm was my intent, hardly a flame.

besides, this is hardly the same as a hurricane and i dont live near the ocean. do you need the gas? are you going to use it? or are you just going to hold on to it and lock it inside your safe because you think the govt is going to take your gas away?

why do some on ALL the gun forums (this one included) equate buying ammo you can afford to GREED? I am at wits end - is it jealousy or lack of planning? perhaps it is people counting on Big Brother to save them and redistribute ammo like they are doing to the money? yes let's all turn our ammo in for distibution because you know they will divide it fairly - I think George Orwell was way ahead of his time in 1949 when he published the book 1984 - to those who worry about HOARDERS you should read that book

Thank you for your post. I guess I was too lazy or too resigned to bother posting on this subject, but you are absolutely right. The only reason I'm not gobbling up ammo these days is that I wised up last time (ten or fifteen years ago?), and have been calmly picking up ammo at a good price ever since, to the point that I seldom need to buy ammo these days. People who are stocking up at today's high prices are probably doing it more out of fear than "greed," whatever that is supposed to mean in this context. Regardless, I regard them as free to spend their money however they consider wisest.

Again, thank you for your post.

Oh, there's a certain element of greed involved too, when gun show dealers are buying out WalMart so they can double the price and sell it at the next show.

Yes, I know that this is not illegal, and no, I am not against capitalism. I just refuse to buy from these guys.
