I am deeply saddened to inform you that Charlie Sides died as the result of an accident last Tuesday, Aug 31, 2021.
He was known here as crsides
I extend my sincere condolences to his family and his many other friends.

Charlie was a good man. We are diminished.

Charlie was a good man. I met him at the 2007 SWCA meeting in Richmond. He and I exchanged a number of messages about the land that we each owned in the Blue Ridge mountains. We spent some time together at the Charlotte show and we would speak at the Hillsville VA flea market also.

He will be greatly missed.

Shocking and heartbreaking news. I met Charlie a few years ago in Charlotte at a meeting and ever since considered him a friend and always looked forward to visiting with him! I live in Illinois and found out Charlie and Martha were going to visit family in the area and arranged to meet them both for a meal as they were passing close to my house on the way out west for a vacation. We had a lovely time it it will remain a treasured memory. I pray for comfort for Martha and his family he was so proud of and devoted to. I will miss you my friend! John

I hate getting news like this, it breaks my heart. Charlie and I did some business a few years ago. He was a gentleman and a nice man. His passing is a loss to the board.

My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.

Charlie was an absolute gentleman and a scholar of Smith and Wesson handguns. Our group of Smith and Wesson Collectors is greatly diminished by his loss and he will be missed.
