Hey guys I've been hearing this weird noise when I release the trigger after firing a round, it sounds like a spring is hitting a peice of metal. Could someone tell me what the problem is and how/if I can fix it?

The problem is.....your rifle is functioning normally. 
This can be fixed by firing lots more ammunition.
The sound you are hearing is the disconnector releasing the hammer, so that it can be caught by the trigger, readying the gun to fire another shot.

That sound is very good, if you ever stop hearing it (and the rifle is shooting full auto) then you have a problem. A serious one.

Hey there, the other thing you could do is the 15 min trigger job, using a 35 cent set skrew gets rid of the creep and probably any of that sound your hearing.

this is an un-needed "trigger job" that takes the creep out of the trigger--when the gun is uncocked
useless mod that does nothing

Do you understand what sound he is hearing, any why a home brew trigger job has absolutely nothing to do with it?

It actually take play out of the trigger pull also. So don't say its useless unless you have tried it. It does make the trigger pull smoother and fire crisper. So it does do something, its not for everyone but it does help in the long run.
And dragon i do understand the sound, but when you do the trigger job it can eliminate some of the noise from it because of the tension that it puts on it. If you don't believe me, try it then report back.

Totally unsafe buggering of the rifle.
The sear is part of the trigger. The sear is moving when any trigger movement takes place. Eliminating this "creep" with a set screw is just moving the sear partially off the hammer engagement point -- you're puling the trigger -- and you risk the rifle firing when dropped as the sear ain't fully engaged. Could turn out to be life changing.
Also the trigger should not be able to move at all with the safety on so there's no slack to remove anyway if the parts are correctly and safely fitted.

As brought up in previous threads my father is a licensed gunsmith--and after showing him the YOUTUBE and having stripped down my 15-22 his exact words..."DO NOT [insert expletive here] WITH THE TRIGGER..." its simple, its effective, and last time i checked i wasnt qualified to re-engineer anything...just my $.02

I have noticed the same noise when pulling the trigger on mine.
I plan on replacing the trigger group with an aftermarket kit after doing some research and asking some questions.

Usually the only sound I hear when the trigger gets pulled is "bang".

I noticed this sound also I then went and checked my .223 AR same sound then went and checked a friends .223 AR same thing.
The difference being you cant hear it when a live .223 round goes off butt it's easy to hear with a .22 LR. It's just how that trigger works.
