Saw a bizarre radar picture today, see below. The radar was suggesting that there were bands of rain with one sitting over the east side of the Vegas valley. Well, it wasn't rain, it was virga, precip that doesn't actually hit the ground. You could see it in the sky as a curtain that didn't reach the ground.

Now, those returns to the SW look a bit more interesting.

Bad weather in the Old Country?
That could be why my family left there 300+ years ago.
Another possblilty is they were escorted down to a ship and told not to return!

I knew that the majority of my ancestors were of Welsh stock. An Uncle traced our family's trip thru America back to the Georgia coast colonies. The trouble is, the most of the family males were there in the Georgia Debtor Prison! I think he stopped his genealogy research right there. ..... :-)

...Hurricane Rosa...which was downgraded to Tropical Storm Rosa...

...was supposed to drench the southwest this week...and end up as snow here...

...maybe if it is only managing to be Virga in Vegas...we won't get dumped on quite so bad...

...we need some moisture...and snow is inevitable...but I'd like to see a little more rain first...
