Welcome from just north of Boston. I am happily married 31 years to an angel who tolerates me and we have 3 beautiful daughters and one granddaughter. Sometimes I wish I could have been born slightly north of the border in the "Live Free Or Die" state. I am fairly new to guns, at least as a gun owner. My grandfather had an old 12 gauge double barrel and I've shot a few other guns in my not quite youth. I never really had anyone spark my interest in them until my youngest daughter asked me to attend an NRA Basic Firearm Safety course. She just recently graduated the Suffolk County (Dept. of) Corrections Officer Training Academy.

After waiting nearly 4-months to get our CCW Class A LTC, we both bought the S&W M&P 9MM Range Kit. Since then I purchased a Gen 2 Glock 19, S&W 38 Special Bodyguard, and most recently the S&W M&P 15-22 in Camo. Still on my list to buy is a 1911, a 12 gauge tactical, and I'd like to build my own AR-15. I also will do a couple of upgrades to the 15-22.

My other interests are NHL Hockey, motorcycles, and using and restoring my John Deere garden tractor herd which stands at three now. I need at least one more. I spend time when I can on the V Star 1100 forum, Glock Talk forum, and MyTractor Forums, but not as much when work & life gets in the way. :)

Welcome from Wisconsin! I have a son who recently graduated for the Milwaukee Police Academy but upon further reflection it's not so recent. It was January 2013. The older I get the faster time flies it seems.

I don't envy you living in MA. Even though WI didn't have a concealed carry law until 2 years ago the gun laws are relatively liberal - more so since we kicked the bums out of office.

Welcome from the People's Republik of Kolorado, a division of Kommiefornia, inc.

Welcome to the forum from Texas.

Speaking of JD garden tractors, I have a JD 318 purchased new in '83 with dual hydraulics and 210 original hrs on it. Back when JD made driveshaft garden tractors.

Welcome from Texas Beabruin. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Welcome from Taxamachusetts!

welcome from Taxamachusetts! what an expensive hobby you have now. It is addictive, for many years i had 1,sometimes 2 guns, now i have 6 and growing......and with the prices these days here in mass, i applaud you if you can both afford to live in Boston and have money to buy guns.....and ammo too!Good luck

I need some badges

How do you guys and gals add the various badges next to your forum names? I see law enforcement and military ones. NRA and other firearms badges. I've even seen some that have nothing to do with firearms.

I'm not new to online forums. Just wondering how you get some of these "badges" or whatever they're called added to my profile.

PS - Looks like I was able to add the NRA membership badge. Not sure how to add others.
