I bought this gun brand new in the box from a local law enforcement supply store back in the early '80's.

I wasn't as 'tuned in' on collecting or forseeing the future of anything at the time in the gun game.

I bought it because it fit a need. And, I needed it.

I carried this one for quite some time tucked in under a calf-skin leather vest along with my blue jeans and Tony Llamas western boots. Ha. What a spectacle. I carried it when I went out serving warrants. It rode nice and high and tight in the holster you see in the pictures.

Lots of rounds through it and many a mile.

Great gun, great design, and, great calibre.

enjoy,

I've got it's little brother in a 3" 64. Great revolvers. I imagine carrying one on the job for a bit and you really develop a little friendship with your gun. Nice revolver OP, the best part about that stainless finish is how easily it cleans up after years of wear and tear!

Had many a 3 inch S&W K go through my paws... I think now I have two 'Ladysmith' 65s, a plain jane 65, and a 64. All 3 inchers. I really like 'me (but then I'm a fool for snub K frames, especially 2 1/2 inch 66 Combat Magnums.)

While I pack Glocks now days... I still enjoy vintage S&Ws. Just came back from a deer hunt. Besides my rifle I packed a 4 inch S&W 624 .44 Spl. with 250 grain hard case SWCs and 6 grains of Unique. Not a max load but good enough to Texas woods.

Mine is a 65-3. Great shooter. Any gun I carried on duty is long gone. But I’ve replaced the ones I sold for about 4-5 times what I sold the originals for as priced many years ago.

I've been on the Forum since 2012 and the interest in these 3" bbld fixed sight 10/64 and 13/65 has never diminished. If anything, it has increased. The S&W website shows currently produced 4" 10 and 64 RB revolvers. Seems like it would be relatively easy to produce 3" bbl guns. There does seem to be a demand, if we are any indication.
