I can't view the link, for some reason. Regardless, I guess your comment is self-explanatory. :D I have a personal episode in a similar vein. My departed brother went through a phase in his life when he was something of a "social progressive," for his time. That all changed one day when he was riding his bike in Arlington and some hoodlums drove by and threw a partially consumed coke (aluminum can) at him, which hit him in the side of the head, causing him to crash. (Luckily his helmet saved him from serious injury.) Until then, he had never approved of my interest in weapons, but after that incident he called to ask what type of gun he could discretely carry while on his bike! :o :D

I doubt the DA will be so personally proactive. He will have a different "solution." :D

Sometimes the cosmos just fall into place.....

I wish I could LIKE this more than once LOL !

All the damage that liberal DAs do, in my experience considering the lives and people just as tertiary and unimportant things to be played with, as they play God, it is quite fitting for this *** to at least be affected in the same manner that everyone else is.

Far too many times I have watched in the courtrooms as attorneys go back and forth in what they consider their "personal" games and battles. Only caring about wins and losses and considering themselves narcissistically above it all. It was all about their personal records and career advancement and judgeship opportunities. Rarely considering that there were people's lives involved and often completely destroyed. The truth never really mattered, only winning. It was disgusting.

Good to see this DA get a dose of reality from the street.

I would have suggested your brother to buy a BFR in 45-70 Gov't (since he lives near DC, the caliber is spot on), install wheels and pedals and go ride on that.

It won't make a bit of difference to him. His bread and butter is not prosecuting criminals so he can get re-elected and that won't change. NOLA is rotting from the inside and as soon as all the decent citizens evacuate it will totally implode. I used to spend a lot of enjoyable time there. If I go there now I pay a lot of attention to my surroundings and I'm gone before the sun sets. I would hate to have to defend my right to defend myself with this DA. Crime is out of control in this city and many others like it because of who is running the show.

The other day on the local news, I heard the "Murder" figure was at 113 for Columbus, Ohio, and October was on pace for much higher than average. The Mayor and City Council's answer has been "education, festivals and gun buy-backs." Not enforcing the law, prosecuting offenders or executing repeat offenders!

You never want to offend your constituents!

The difference in philosophy between my employer and the west side lunatics is the only thing that keeps our community livable. Sadly, the legal changes that the crazies have implemented are having a terrible effect on Washington as a whole.

Just in the past few days, a prominent liberal politico in the Houston justice system was mugged and his wife was with him. I don't live there but am close enough that I get their news. This is a very liberal prosecutor. I just hope he is enjoying the profits from his political endeavors!

When it comes to these type of events, I go to that Glider Crash.

On the Sunday afternoon of August 1, 1943, St. Louis aircraft manufacturer William B. Robertson was hosting the first public demonstration of a new Waco CG-4 glider, built under sub-contract by his company. As a crowd of spectators watched at the Lambert St. Louis Airport, Mayor Becker, Robertson, and other St. Louis luminaries boarded the glider that was towed by a transport plane for a flight over the city. Immediately after the release of the towing cable, the right wing of the glider broke off, and it plummeted from an altitude of 1,500 feet, killing all ten persons on board. Becker was buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Aloys P. Kaufmann, president of the city's Board of Aldermen, succeeded Becker as mayor of St. Louis.

The failed wing strut component, which had been manufactured by Robertson subcontractor Gardner Metal Products Company of St. Louis, a firm that normally built metal caskets, was found to be made of metal that was too thin for the purpose.
