I wonder if anybody really believes this story. Probably, but I haven't met one yet. But then again, I ain't been to town but a few times this year. Of the 3 or 4 friends that I have left I'd say 3 or 4 of them don't really care one way or the other. I know I don't. People anymore seem to be desperate for any kind of intrigue or crazy rumors, or even idiotic videos on the internet.
Maybe the only thing that will happen is that everyone will have a great day on the 21st, and it will seem so much better after expecting the worst. Kind of like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer because it feels so good when you stop.

They have found many mayan calendars that also go PAST this date as well. They've also found other ancient calendars that stop at this date.

The 12/21 just happens to be when some celestial bodies come into alignment. Just a marker on the time odometer.
