I picked up this extremely clean S&W 1076 and two mags for $350 flat yesterday. No box, but I ain't complaining.

The odd thing is it has 291 stamped beneath the model number.

A rack or badge number was my assumption.

Are you sure you didn't leave the "1" off from the front of the 350?

I think this qualifies as the 2022 deal of the year so far. Enjoy!

It was kind of funny. I sold this gun to a friend years and years ago, because he was always after me to sell it to him. I finally consented and offered it to him for the $350 I paid for it. He said, "It's worth more than that." I said, "that's what I'll take."

He called me over last night, and it was sitting on the table. He offered it back and I asked the price. He offered it to me for the $350 he paid for it. I said, "It's worth more than that." He said, "that's what I'll take."

I believe I'll hang onto it this time.

That's what friends do for friends.

Two honest men dealing with each other.

That's what friends do.In years past my shooting buddy and I would trade back and forth while he was around. We probably traded 20 or so guns back and forth over the years. No money just the gun, it always worked out.Hard to do that today, he was a good friend.

The 291 could be a badge number, employee number or rack number. Many law enforcement and security companies do this for inventory and repair.

I agree. That gun was in somebody's inventory once upon a time.

OP......Hang on to it this time around. Great gun.

This was my first 10mm. It led to a Delta Elite, pre-lock 610, Glock 20 and 29, Sig Legion and GP100. The Sig is the best of the bunch.

SCORE!
Great gun at a felonious price - you got it for about a 25% of what a similar example generally goes for.

For most of us, $350 will get you 2-3 10XX mags and no gun. :D

I very good friend just purchased a M&P 40C along with 1900 rounds of 40 cal, 4 mags, a milt sparks VMII holster, for $800.00 from a good friend of his.
I know its true because I am that good friend.
Nice to know some people still value friendship
