These are made of solid brass. 44 mag machined cases that shoot a 17 cal. bullet. They have a 17 cal. hole machined all the way through. The end of the case is the barrel. They use a large magnum primer and require no powder. I suppose you could add a little powder. You never know what you are going to find in a garage sale. They fit any 44 mag gun. I haven't tried them yet. The house I bought them from was nasty--maybe he shot rats. Like JAMES CAGNEY.:)

Do they shoot from any gun chambered in 44 Mag? What is the bullet in those? It looks like a lead slug.

I had some of those type of rounds in the past. Think they were 38s though. Came in a kit. Sold the darn thing cause I didn't think I needed to shoot pellets from a handgun. . Trying to remember the name..I'll think of it..soon as this bout of sometimers goes away

Good night. Is anyone curious as to why this was done? I am and also think that a lot of thought and time and money went into this project; I have worked around enough machine shops and machining to know.

Please hurry

Mostimers is the next phase, and best way to remember something is try to recall something else, pattern seems to be brain functions at a rate of 1 or 2 memories behind. Good excuse anyhow. Now back to .....hmmm. :)- No worry, I think someone told me I was normal once.

Guy was helicopter tech. & worked in the machine shop at Bell Helicopter & a retired Green Beret. A real loner. He had lots of firearms related things. Guns went one way & reloading things were of no use to his family when he passed. Kin wonted everything gone so they could sell the house as it was theirs to start with. Company time???????? Its a neat show & tell thing anyway.:D They are not stamped & I do not know who made them.

There's some really long cold nights in the winter time in Wyoming.

I read them 38/44s was purty good rounds.. Closest I could come was 38/45. I ain't found just the right gun to shoot it, but I keep lookin'.;)

Well that's Different. More of a matter of a Machinist with too much time on his hands, than a reloader per se.

I sold about 15 different caliber setups so he was a reloader. 45x70--9mm. I spent 3 weeks selling things for his sister online. When I sold everything that would sale she ask me how much do I owe you? I said whatever you think. She gave me $40 cash. I made about $1 per hour.:D I really wonted the Sharps. None of the guns were for sale. They didn't need the money.

Blow the photo up and you can see the machine marks & no head stamp or id marks. Thanks for coming in.

My brother, when loading .380 with a D550, managed to cycle a .32 case through with similar results. No Beer.

Heard of a similar situation.

Similar guy had some forming dies to make 45 auto shotshells from 308-243 brass. I could not get second owner to let me buy them as I was third in line.
