What am I missing

This happens all the time only hope it happens when I go to sell some of mine. While I agree that it helps to be a well known dealer. I think great pictures, complete info and dealer transparency can go a long way.
I bought a 70s model just like this one ANIB in 2014. Had display box, tools, docs and even the shipping carton 575. Not really my cup of tea so I sold it to a guy who was retiring a year later for more than double. Seem like a lot of guns are enjoying high prices these days, at least for the sellers....

I have a friend who, due to the location where he resides, only has the internet to source things that attract his attention. No LGS and no convenient gun shows have pretty much elimimated other purchasing options.

He knows that he isn't likely to find a terrific deal on sites like GB, but he is certain that he will sooner or later find what he wants without having incurred travel expenses to shows only to be disappointed.

I was at the Tulsa Gun show this weekend and saw a few 27-2's in mint condition with the factory box carrying 1800-2400 price tags, and I actually think that is closer to the mark than that GB auction. Thanks for the input everyone.

Ok, if a 27-2 is $1800 to $2400 what do yo think the price would be for a 29-2 44 mag in same condition? What is the premium for the 44 Mag like new with presentation case box and papers?

The condition, the package, and at least two bidders with deep pockets. That is all it takes in the internet auction age.

Along with 2 bidders getting the auction can't-let-it-go-itis (or auction rage) and keep bidding up in small increments.
I see this at auctions all the time, but nothing quite like this.

Meh it is GB. Not too sure there is any way to qualify the term normal there anymore.
