What Am I Missing On This Closed Auction?

It's a mystery. Perhaps there was some confusion with it being an original factory (rare) 1.5" barrel, but the description was pretty clear about this not being the case.

Hi There,

I agree this is weird. The 2 bidders at the end (it takes at least
2 bidders to bid-it-up like this) were experienced GB bidders
(both had over 100 feed backs).

Cheers!

There should be no question about originality since it does not even have a front sight! I better get my 3 cut-barreled DAs on the market fast!!

Auctions are nuts! I've seen good stuff go for peanuts and run-of-the-mill items go for idiotically high prices. I saw a WWI Pat. '07 Lee Enfield bayonet, nothing special, go for $654. because 2 people with more ego and money than brains decided to have a "who's is bigger" contest. BTW, they sell hereabouts at militaria shows for about $175-190.

??

Notice the nut on the chipped Pearl grips? Must be the Art gecko look.

Auctions are insane. I'm watching a bunch of slightly unusual plastic guns selling for what I think is silly money right this minute. Yes, they come from an unusual nation, but they are not worth used M&P 9 money to me, and yet the sharks are circling.

Collectors

To me it just proves that the collectible world is alive and well. Which is a wonderful thing for all of us.
