I have a number of Lux Pro brand lights, but can't seem to find any new ones. I am looking for a single AA light.

I would not buy ANY light that needs an alkaline (AA, etc,,) battery.

All the knockoff batteries leak within 6 months,,
and, it seems that 90% of batteries are fake,, now.

I will only buy a lithium rechargeable,,
and, actually, I either use my phone, or one of the four Milwaukee M18 lights that I own.

I keep a M18 in the bedroom, in case of a power outage,
that thing can light a room for 2 days straight on a charge.

I've been carrying a Streamlight ProTac 1AA flashlight in my pocket everyday for at least 12-15 years. I use this little flashlight every single day. Programmable with their 10 tap program but I just have it set to go directly to high only. I use the Energizer Lithium AA batteries and I have been completely satisfied. I think they make an upgraded model now.

I've been buying Fenix headlamps and flashlights for a while now. They all have rechargeable lithium batteries. I finally had to replace a couple batteries in our headlamps, but they get use every day walking our dogs, camping, night fishing, early hikes, etc. I find them to be great quality, very adjustable and quite durable.

I just bought a ThruNight TK 12 Pro rechargeable 18650 light from Amazon for $35 and its very small and light for an 18650 flashlight and easily carried in a small pocket. I charge it off of a USB cord that is so handy I probably won't buy lights in the future that don't have that feature. It has a side switch and a bottom switch for using as a defensive light and on Turbo it is bright enough for anything I would ever need unless using my big, heavy Ryobi 18V spot light.

I buy anything like these. Most only last 4 or 5 years. They put out a great light and can focus or shine quite a ways. Cheap enough to pass out as gifts. You can put a piece of cellophane tape across one end of the battery if you're storing it pr turn the battery over. They run for an honest 8 hours on low beam if left on constantly, It's much less if on and off repeatedly but still over 5 hours.

The blinking function could really confuse someone if it was in their face at night.

EagleTac (EAGTAC) D25A! What a great light! I have two of these.

Another great one: Lumintop AA 2.0 runs on a AA or a lithium 14500 cell. Outstanding value at about $22. I have two of these also.

My EDC is a tiny Olite AAA light.

IMHO you need a blend of both, right now there are a couple million of folks in NC,Va and Georgia that can't recharge a lithium battery. Some power is expected to be out for 7-10 days

Thanks, I placed an order for this. I have nicer lights, I just wanted some inexpensive ones.

Just as a side note, I keep one of these in my car. If I get out at night it goes in my pocket, whether I have a flashlight or not. Sure, I may just be stopping at the store, or going to a movie, but you never know when you might need a light and both hands free.

The best AA flashlight I've ever owned was a Fenix E12. I bought mine I think 11 years ago and they've updated it since.

Having said that, there are better flashlights of the same size available. One of my biggest criteria for any flashlight that I own is it has to be USB rechargeable. Fenix makes a light roughly the same size as the E12 called an RC05 it's 300 lumens which is plenty enough for most of the things I need to flashlight for.

It's been my experience that the rechargeable flashlights cost more but you more than save the difference in price by not having to buy batteries all the time and not having to carry batteries with you.

When I was working I was mostly working night so I used my flashlight constantly. I only remember one time having a flashlight, it didn't even die on me but I turned it on in the warning light came on. And all I had to do was when I got in my car driving to my next stop I plugged it into the charger.

Somebody mentioned above that a rechargeable flashlight is a problem when the power goes out and I agree with that but you can buy a solar power bank that's the size of an iPhone that will recharge your flashlight.

When all this covid craziness started my wife and I decided to put together go bags and one of the things that went in both was a small Craftsman solar powered portable radio that would also serve as a phone charger.

I mean, I can't see how that wouldn't be a must have for a hurricane kit
