Today is devoted to 357 Magnums, did the 40 and 45 ACP last weekend. Just finished up a couple of 25 rounds test lots featuring Accurate #9. First is a 140 grain XTP with 12.5 grains that I've used in the past in my handguns but I'm curious how accurate it will be in my 1892 so I made 25 rounds to test the accuracy in the rifle. Then I loaded up another 25 using the 158 grain XTP with 11.1 grains of #9 for the same purpose. What I am looking for is whether I can match the accuracy of my rifle specific loads using H110 with my handgun loads featuring Accurate #9. BTW I don't like the excessive flash and BAAHOOM of H110 out of a handgun and have found that #9 give a moderate flash load without that booming report.
Then since I'll be shooting the 1892 this weekend after lunch I'll load up 50 rounds each of my standard rifle load using H110 with the 140 and 158 grain XTP's.
