Thanks guys! It should be here later this week. Nice pistols you fellas are sharing!!!!

Good choice, the 5903 is a fine pistol and light enough to carry for extended periods of time. When you get the 5903, carefully inspect it, field strip it, clean it, look for excessive wear and cracks. Once you are satisfied that it is in good shape, lubricate it correctly, reassemble with a new recoil spring. Factory rating is 14 pounds and that's what you want. I don't know about current availability, but Midway USA used to sell S&W recoil springs dirt cheap. Wolffe springs may be a little better in terms of quality. It is also a good idea to break down the magazines, give them a good cleaning, and also reassemble with new magazine springs.

If you have any questions or concerns, post them, along with pictures.

Thanks, Stan, will do. Deep cleaning and inspecting a new purchase is always fun. I did ask the seller to double-check the frame/barrel area but I will still do it myself. I was looking around eBay yesterday and came across 3 BufferTech recoil buffers, all for $10 shipped! I got them in case I decide to put one in. I've had them work well in some firearms, but others not so. We'll see. I'm looking now for a factory-speck recoil spring. Wolff was evidently hit hard by Covid because it's taking them up to three weeks now to ship. Pretty disappointing for a class outfit.

It's not just Wolff that is having Covid related problems.
