Been looking at getting the right belt and have come across some information that I didn't really think about when looking at some of the main ones I was interested in getting.

I'm looking for a 1.75" belt with some kinda of quick release buckle. I was really interested in those instructor style belts with the cobra buckle but saw a video review of one that had it and it seems since the buckle is so wide it's somewhat of a pain to take off and on because of the standard size of belt loops on pants.

I saw one that had somewhat of an elastic loop on one buckle which allows you to position the buckle sideways a little to make it easier to got through belt loops but can't remember the brand.

What do you wear that everyday that you would recommend? I have an Shield 9 with Incog that I wear AIWB.

Not exactly what you are looking for but...a Snubbyfan leather belt that was meant to be for when my other "gun belt" was to big or would stand out, but it works so well even being 1.25" I've started using it unless I know it will get messed up. (Like at work.) He does great work and is priced very well compared to what other custom shops charge.

I plan on getting more leather goods from him in the future.

I have a belt ordered from snubbyfan also for dress. I use the Velcro under duty belt for everyday wear. No buckle to scratch the classics I work on. Been wearing one for years. Get one at the uniform supply.

I'm not aware of a gun belt with a quick release buckle that you are asking about so I can't help you there. I'm an old fashion type that likes real leather belts and holsters. My favorite and everyday wear is a horsehide belt by The Beltman in Apex, NC. It looks like an ordinary leather belt but is stiff enough to easily support the weight of a Browning Hi Power.

I am a big fan of the Wilderness Instructor belt. One of their advantages is you can even support your weight with your belt by clipping a life support clip on the buckle. I think a quick release buckle would defeat this purpose.

I am curious as to why you want a quick release buckle.

For dress wear get a Snubby belt.

For outdoor activities wear get a Wilderness Belt.

As Jaysq asks, "Why a quick release buckle?"

Second the recommendation for "THE BELTMAN." I have dress belts (1 1/4 inch) and work belts (1 3/4) made by Jim and they are great. Great price too. I live about 5 miles from him so I can beat the shipping cost.

I recommend either A&G Custom Leather (belts are all they make) or Ray at Lobo Gun Leather. I'm sure they can help guide you in the right direction to meet your needs...

Not sure that quick release and proper gunbelt would go together? I've been using the wilderness frequent flyer model for 5 yrs now.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll have to check them out. I do also want to get a good leather belt for when dressed in nice slacks but I was looking for something more casual.

The reason for the quick release is just so I won't have to mess with the holes in leather belts that for me eventually become stretched/worn. Also since I wear AIWB I usually have to slide the normal belt buckle slightly to the left to clip my Incog on. So having a traditional buckle looks slightly odd when placed to the side.

The quick release may also look a little odd but since it'll be colored black it won't be as noticeable. The type that i'm looking for is like the new belt G-Code just came out with but I dealt with their crazy lead time when I got my Incog and not sure I wanna wait another couple months for a belt.

The other one I saw that I mentioned in my initial post was very similar only it had more slack on the belt loop of the right side buckle pictured on the Incog belt, to allow it to be shifted somewhat horizontal so as to make it easier to loop through you pants.

Nothing screams "I'm carrying a gun" more than wearing a web style tactical belt. Pair it up with a pair of khaki cargo pants and you might as well be wearing a police uniform. For day to day use, I've been using a 5.11 Casual Leather Belt. With a pair of jeans or chinos it is very low key. There is an insert in the leather that keeps it from rolling over and supports the weight of the gun. It's the best I've found for concealed carry and it works well with just about every type of holster.

I like that, wish it came with a black buckle or darker metal at least.

Yeah, I think i'm going to try out that 5.11 leather. I have a somewhat thick dress belt that I'm currently using and it made a big difference but it does flex more then i'd like. This one seems like it would be stiffer.
