I've always been a .45 guy and have carried a Glock 36 for years. When the Shield 9mm was introduced, it piqued my interest immediately and I bought one and love it; so slim, nice trigger, excellent capacity. So now the 9mm is my most carried caliber.

1. In the car: Model 66, 4", loaded with .357

2. On my person: Walther PPK/S, Loaded with Buffalo Bore +P, JHP in the pipe, JHP first round in mag, the rest Hard cast FN's.

S&W 340PD using Speer Gold Dot 125 gr., .38 Special +P for CC; and using Speer Gold Dot 135 gr., .357mag for woods carry.

I'm surprised so many of you carry inferior calibers. Everyone knows that the .45ACP was ordained by God and the perfect delivery tool was invented by His prophet John Moses Browning; the 1911. Why would you carry anything else?

My first big grin of 2015. Thanks for that one.

6906 about 15 hours a day 365 days a year - - - hope to never have to use it except for training but it is there like a fire extinguisher - - - you plan to never have a fire but keep it ready just in case.

“What caliber is your most frequently carried handgun?”

At this time in my life retired and living out a ways in the peaceful boonies of upstate NY, that is a .380. Little Bodyguard rides easily in a pocket holster and that goes with me when I leave the house and stay local.

Now venturing into the cities that I grew up in and abandoned, I up the ante to use an XDs.45 in a IWBH holster. I do my best to not have to go into bigger population areas unless absolutely necessary! Carrying the little gun is so much easier!:)

Because he didn't think of the 10mm of course. I like not asking twice. Working on a ramped 1911 in 10mm. Until then, the Glock shoots and suits just fine.

If "his prophet" were still alive today, I suspect he'd be carrying a Browning High Power! :D

1) A Shield 9mm
2) Bodyguard .380 (church, and bug to the shield)
3) Glock .40S&W (when I venture into the motor city)

I had to say .22mag because after settling in for the evening I will often put my 640 38spl- Kangaroo Carry away but I don't put my NAA Wasp away until my pants come off (jammies on).

Stay safe, John
