You bought a very nice revolver, now sit back, congratulate yourself on your shopping prowess and wait for it to arrive.
You did well.
I wish I had seen it first.

You bought the best pocket gun ever made! I don't know the dash number on yours,(mine is a 640-1), but you cannot get a better made, stronger little powerhouse.

You have a much cooler front sight than I have, but in a pinch, I am point shooting anyway.
Great gun, good luck with it.

Here's mine.

The 640-1 was high on my "want list" when it first came out but I was never able to find one and have the money to buy it at the same time. Early last Summer I was in a local shop and there was one sitting there in the used case. I checked it out and it was very clean, shot very little if at all. I bought it on the spot and don't regret it. Now its at the top of my "never trade or sell list". I believe this must be one of many bought by someone who thought it was "cool" to shoot the big, bad magnums in a little gun but quickly found out its not much fun! It is a great little revolver and I believe you will be glad you got it. I would like to put a "Big Dot" sight like that on mine sometime.

I have a 640-1 I bought new early in 1996. I sent it to Smith & Wesson for lazor engraving. Its one of my favorite guns.
