As for the discussion above regarding "$250 for a BOX?!", to be clear, I understood where he came up with that number but it's a bit confusing.
The aluminum PC cases that came with PC revolvers and pistols from around 2000-2008 or so were nice looking but mass produced and imported low-end cases that were not very durable and also not very protective and all they did well was to look attractive. SOME people who really want or need one legitimately do spend up to $300 to get one. Personally I think they are out of their gourd but it's not up to me to justify stuff for others.
A high condition mid-1980's blue one-piece box like the subject of this discussion likely tops out around $50, and that's often going to get you most of the innards too.
So yes, no worries, nobody pays $250 for a cardboard 645 box. (But check back in 5 years… of course, a loaf of bread may be $48 by then…)
