What did the 645 come with in 1987?

Not pictured but I assume is under the inside cardboard coffin is the black top-hat.

As for the discussion above regarding "$250 for a BOX?!", to be clear, I understood where he came up with that number but it's a bit confusing.

The aluminum PC cases that came with PC revolvers and pistols from around 2000-2008 or so were nice looking but mass produced and imported low-end cases that were not very durable and also not very protective and all they did well was to look attractive. SOME people who really want or need one legitimately do spend up to $300 to get one. Personally I think they are out of their gourd but it's not up to me to justify stuff for others.

A high condition mid-1980's blue one-piece box like the subject of this discussion likely tops out around $50, and that's often going to get you most of the innards too.

So yes, no worries, nobody pays $250 for a cardboard 645 box. (But check back in 5 years… of course, a loaf of bread may be $48 by then…)

marcus99;
I can help you out with a tool kit. I have a factory sealed kit with rod and large caliber brush and mop (no SAT). There were no revolvers that would have had that combination. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send pictures and price.

So I was going to resell the extra unmatched box…and then I bought a 2nd 645 this afternoon. Very clean TBB-prefix (July 1987) but includes nothing besides one later production mag. Price was fair and I start imagining how beautiful two 645's would look along each other, so I grabbed it. I figure that I'll stick it in the non-matching box along with four later production orange follower mags, use it as a shooter and call the package a day without trying to complete it like my first 645.

Mine shipped in 1985, but I bought it new in 1987. I'll get you some pics shortly.

I have the box and the 645 info sheet, but nothing else now. The tag says it came with one 8 round magazine and cost $550.50

Does your box have " a BANGOR PUNTA Company " on the lower right front box edge?

No, it is LSI Lear Siegler Company
