Earlier this afternoon I made some target .45s for my son to shoot in practice and in a 2700 that is coming up soon.

Brass was WCC Match from '03. Bullet was a 200 grain LSWC. Powder was Bullseye and the primers were Winchester.

I finally had to break into the case of Winchester Large Pistol primers I've had on hand.

Next up will probably be .41 Magnum and then I have to make some rifle ammo.

.44 mag..........240grn Nosler JHPs over 23 grns of H110 and WLP primers and.................

.460 S&W ..........260grn Speer JHPs over 30 grains of 2400 and WLR primers.

Gonna kill some Bowlin' Pins tomorrow and those loads will do the job comfortably.

Yeah, the pins should be flying!

I used to shoot pins at the Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot.
Used a .45 ACP with 230 grain round nose lead at the start and a .41 Magnum with 210 grain LSWCs toward the end. The flatnose bullets from the .41 shoved the pins off the table quicker and they left in a cloud of splinters!

Just finished up .40S&W 180gr PFP target loads.

Now I'm going to knock out some .357 mag 158gr JSP and then I HAVE to get some 148gr HBWCs done before I run out of them.

50 pcs 500 Mag.

New Hornady FTX ( flex tip ) 300 gr over 41.0 gr Lil Gun.
Almost starting load, for the 4" 500.

Also prepping some .223 brass to load with the new 50 gr Varmit Grenades.

:D

The last I loaded was a few hundred 44 Mags,240 RNFP that someone gave me over 8 of Unique with a Wolf primer. Prior to that a few hundred 44 Spl same bullet and primer with 6.7 of Unique.
Earlier this year about 1500 45ACP. Next is about 300 45 Colt then about a 1,000 or so 38's.

Casting instead of loading!

To be honest, the last I reloaded was Thursday night! I think I am having withdrawal!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I did cast some H&G #290BB bullets tonight and water dropped them to see how that worked out. Also, broke my Modern Bond mold. Made me a little mad at myself! I'll have to see if one of those bolts can be had or if I need to make one. It was for the sprue plate. it is a D358-627, 160gr WC design.

I will load tomorrow though! Probably some of those 38 bullets over some kind of powder. ;)

Sunday afternoon I made up 500 .38 Special for my 14-4, I'm planning on shooting them in this weekend and loading up 500 more, but I have to cast more bullets first.

7.0 grains of Bullseye under a ~260 grain bullet for my Model 29. It's an awesome load, with enough velocity to do everything I need it to, but it's not work to shoot. I've gotten over shooting the barn busters, though I do keep a box of Keith loads on hand.

I used to shoot pins at the Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot.

Me too ACP 230! I shot there from 1982 thru 1988. I was single then and loved those Pin Setters, plus the girls from Texas Instruments coming to Kohn's Corner bar after work. Couldn't shoot for **** really but out shot several of those magazine writers / experts.
Lately I am reloading of all things, 38 Special. I keep running into 38/44 revolvers and found the 38/44 loads to be just about all I need for most varmits and long range target shooting.

Sunday I loaded 500 rounds of 130 gr cast bullets from the Bulletworks over 4.0 gr of Titegroup for shooting in my 642. I'm going to start shooting em up tomorrow.

In the last week I have loaded .357, .40 S&W, .30-30, .32-40, and am currently working on some .25-35's. Waiting for a shipment from TVB so I can load some .45 Colt and .41 Mag. I'm getting some of their .454's to try in my older model 25's with oversize throats.

Last thing I reloaded was a few boxes of .45ACP for an IDPA match. Even better, while packing the range bag for that match, I found a box and a half of .45s I didn't remember I had! It was like Christmas in June!

Prior to that, it was a box of .25-20WCF for dad's little levergun that I hope to inherit someday.

I am more than halfway through the prepped WCC match brass.
After it is done I may switch to loading hardball loads in nickel cases.
There's a plate match coming up early next month where I could use them.

Yesterday I loaded 300+ .44 Special rounds. 200gr LRNFP bullets over 6.2gr of Trail Boss, which gives me about 830 fps out of my 4" revolvers, for about 10 cents a round. It's good to be stocked up again. Plus the equivalent commercial ammo (assuming it could be found) would have cost me over $220...
