Welcome to the Forum! You found a nice Model 19-2 with some great aftermarket wood stocks...if you post the s/n we can help you with the date of manufacture. As others have stated, nickel guns are not as common as the blued versions. The original stocks would have been walnut target stocks with S&W medallions a diamond around the screw. The 19-2 was introduced by S&W in 1961, and continued until the 19-3 was released in 1967. It has a pinned barrel and counterbored cylinder recesses, known as "P&R". Yours looks to be in VG condition, with just some small scratches and scuffs. You could try gently polishing it with some Flitz Polish or Mother's Mag Wheel polish and a microfiber cloth, and that nickel finish would really "pop". It's probably worth $800+.
