Living most of the year in Florida and with a new range (and the first good one) opening up just a few miles from me... I wanted a fun to shoot gun that wouldn't cost a fortune to shoot. As much i love the tactical look I've fought buying an AR because it goes against every part of practical shooting I've grown up with. Of course if I had access to a full outdoor range that would be different.
Origonally wanted a G22 but can not express enough how happy I am I went with the 15-22! No disrespect to AR15 owners at all (trust me even if you never fired it I understand the attraction) but what good is spending hundreds or even thousands of $$$ on a gun that you either can't use often or don't intend to ever use for it's tactical/defense purpose?
Again just to clarify, don't want to not offend anyone...there are for sure non-military purposes for the AR like predator hunting but that is a different breed of the gun than the typical urban Christmas tree application IMHO.
Basically the 15-22 is my justification for having an AR-toy! Haha
