District Judge in a general jurisdiction trial court. I handle felony criminal cases, large civil cases, divorces, etc. Been at it for 18 years, had 20 years in a private trial practice before that. It's an interesting way to make a living.

I'm kinda like Walkin' Jack. Cept I make sorry take a look. Kinda like a snow goose wake up and go where I want to. That should not be misconstrued as no direction , or is it? Chased pipeline around the world till 1997 then tied down the brake and went to the house. Load, shoot and trade.
Retired form Ma Bell in 1988 in Calif. 38 years, 17 in the SF Bay area then 21 in the Sierra foothills. I've been a gas station owner, hay baler,worked in a muffler shop, part time gun smith,volunteer fireman, owned a 13 acre walnut orchard, hunted in 7 Western states, & have 3 children, 8 grandkids & one & a half great grand kids. Out lived 2 of my 3 wives, turn 83 in June. As Gus said to Woodrow "It's been one Hell of a ride".
Spent almost thirty years teaching at a university and volunteering with my pack string during the summer helping the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service pack supplies into their trail crews.
Still have the pack string...or what's left of them (lead mare and three good mules). Now, I head up into the mountains with my sons to their elk camp in the fall and pack grandkids around on the mules in the summer. Still do a lot of shooting and fly fishing.

Spent my best four years as an infantryman, the next couple in general construction, then sold car parts while I went to school. The next several years were spent having fun in the motorcycle industry. The last few have been at a gun shop.
I'm running out of hobbies to work at...
At this point I've done and have about 90% of what I've wanted to get out of life. Figuring being about half way through, I think I'm doing alright.

I was a mechanical designer in a research lab. Since 2002 health concerns have has turned me into a lazy bum. I'm not complaining much because it did give me time to spend time with my then 3 year old boy.

Retired a month before my 71st birthday, for medical reasons, after 54 years in the work force. It'll be six years in October.

Retired after 34 years from Delta in 2001. I spent a year and a half after that with T-Mobile and about a year with a website company. Then I was Mom's caregiver from 2005 until she passed away last May. Now I just sit around with my knees aching most of the day.

Spent 20 years in corporate management for a national company. Worked for them while I went to college. Graduated with a BA in History. The company started going downhill, so I made a change. Still worked there part time for a little while when I started my new career.
Now I'm a Deputy Sheriff for a large Sheriff's Office in my state. We are one of the busiest Sheriff's Offices as well. Has its ups and downs, but overall okay.
Considering taking the GMAT and going to law school.

Retired in 1998, worked constr. for a few summers now only drive a potable water truck for the fire camps a few weeks a year, if my old body wasn't falling apart it would be the best job I ever had. Getting old might beat the alterative but with a bad back sometimes I wonder. But love spoiling the grandkids.

NPS Park Ranger for 27 years, with the last 24 as a LE Ranger. Federal Firearms Instructor for 19 years. Mandatory age retirement looming at the end of August. I'll have plenty of work to do around our place to keep me busy, but I suppose I'll find some sort of part time work to help pay the bills.
I've been employed full time as a retiree since July of 2006. My pay;
pension, interest income and Social Security is via direct deposit. I
was working pretty hard at hunting, Trap shooting, reloading, weight
lifting, playing poker and lots of mowing until the last two years. I
have slowed way down on everything except reading and watching
TV because of back problems. Funny thing is though, even though
I'm not working nearly as hard I'm still getting paid. Just lucky I
guess.

Spent 31 years working for a large manufacturing company that closed the facility that I worked in when I was only 52. They had a decent closing package and have sent me a check every month for the last 14 years even though I worked for another company. Now completely retired and doing what I want.

Been retired for 13 years, left the work place at age 55 as planned.
I enjoy receiving money in the mail from the government, corporation and stock market for doing absolutely nothing.
And many charities enjoy receiving mail from me.
So I guess I could be considered a mail man.

I finished regular work as the foreman of a maintenance crew in an oil refinery. Before that I was a layout pipefitter, ran a welding shop, commercial fished. Now I make nice custom knives, do some welding, I have a lathe and a couple milling machines to play with and once or twice a year I will go supervise a short 3-6 week job in a refinery. The less I want to do the more they call. LOL. But, this summer my old skipper and I have leased a 58' seiner and we're going to go catch a bunch of salmon in Alaska again.

I've been turning wrenches for a living for 42 years. Mostly on the bigger trucks and all sorts of equiptment ranging from weed eaters to earth movers. I've spent the last 25 years working for the city I live in.
But all that changes in about six more weeks. Then I'll burn off about another six weeks worth of excess vacation and sick leave. And then, I'll retire.

I was a Deputy Sheriff for 3 years,did not pay well in the early 80s. Nuclear Security Supervisor for 23 1/2 years. Now I work 3 days a week in a food warehouse I operate a large forklift and drive vehicles for a Ford dealer the other 4 days.

Since retirement I can't figure out how I found time to work in my busy schedule.
Get out of bed at 6 am go to gym for work out. Get home around 8 am get cleaned up put a pot of coffee on and sit down at table read the paper [yes, I read the newspaper] and finish drinking the pot of coffee while considering what to do for the rest of the day. Take a short Nap on the recliner.
About 1 pm go out and have lunch a local greasy spoon, stop by a LGS or three and BS with the owners...go shooting, get the truck serviced and get back to house by 6 pm. Then relax for the rest of the day and evening.

Country Lawyer for 30 years. General civil practice. Little bit of everything. Also am 1st assistant for the public defender's office-supervise a crew of 18 lawyers and additional staff over a three parish (county to you other guys ) area and take on the heavy lifting like death penalty and other murder rape etc cases. Pretty low stress and laid back.
