Retired 10 years already !! 
Now I go to my little office in the mail room corner. The young bucks in my Structural Engineering firm refer to me as me "the old man".

I maintain body temperature for a living. Strangely enough, two of the three entities that pay me for this also pay almost all of the expense of my health care.

I'm retired for three years now, after 37 years as a Registered Nurse. Spent most of my career as an O.R. Nurse, started out in the ICU/Recovery Room of a maximum security prison hospital. Have also worked in the E.R., and spent 8 years in USAF Reserve as a Flight Nurse. Most of my O.R. time was in neurosurgery, but have worked all services, heavier in open heart and orthopedics than others. I don't miss it.
Nowadays, I collect my SS and pension, and work part time as a landscaper with a friend of mine who has made his living at it all his life. For fun, I shoot and reload, do some occasional stained glass art, draw and paint, woodworking and build large scale radio controlled airplanes. I used to fly them, but don't have the time any more. I also do volunteer work at our local aviation museum.

Two years in a bedding plant nursery. 33 years teaching Horticulture to visually impaired kids for the state. Retired in 14, was losing money working, got lucky with a great retirement plan from state. Spent 5 years keeping grounds at the school to help out. Finally learned to say no and fully not working for money the last year.
Been fixing copiers for Xerox for 38 years. Will be stepping down on the 16th and retiring.
I retired in 2019. The last 45 years before that I was in Quality Assurance; starting as an inspector and ( for the last 25 or so years ) as a Quality Assurance Engineer. I was in the aerospace industry since about 1985.
No; I don't miss it. My current "Job" is to enjoy life, my wife of 52 plus years and my grandchildren.

Eight years Military and 45 years Law Enforcement. at age 73 I was still "Patrolling the Streets"

In the late 70's I spent a summer on a survey crew for Moore, Gardner and Associates out of Asheboro, NC. I learned all I ever needed to know about bush axes, chiggers and ticks.

I thought I was retired but I was informed that I am instead a 'Professional Pest'.
Spent several years building custom homes,additions,etc in the family business.Worked for myself for several decades building additions,remodeling ,restoring and doing finish work in an expensive area,which was fun until my back failed. Nowadays I babysit my old ma.( raising kids was far easier ;-) )
