What do you guys think of these new Pachmayr grips?

I came across these on Pachmayr's website. They say they will be out May of this year. Can't figure out if I like me or not. Ordered a set of the American Legends for my 1911, and I'm debating if I want a set of these for my 6" 686, which currently wears a set of deccelorators for the range. Thoughts?

I have an older set that looks very much like those, combination wood with rubber overlay. Took them off and they live in the shoe box of rejects. Perfect condition, want to buy them?

If they had a # it would be 144...........................................................................that is gross.

I'd much rather a design like Ruger used to use on their revolvers in years past - wood panels on the sides of the stock, with rubber up front for maximum grip and in the rear for recoil absorption.

Yeah, I always liked that design. I'm still waiting for VZ to make K/L frame G10 grips. Someday I guess.

Had a pair a long time ago when they first came out and the wood had a nicer "blonde" look to it but it felt weird in the hand and the soft rubber insert were the grip screw deteriorated quickly. Just threw them out. Shouldve spent the money on factory wood when it was cheap and plentiful :)
