What do you guys think of these new Pachmayr grips?

Is this a trick question? Words for what I think of something that looks like that are not appropriate for a public forum.
 
One half inch strip down the front of each grip panel would be enough for control and non slip. Then 95% nice wood would be fine.

I came across these on Pachmayr's website. They say they will be out May of this year. Can't figure out if I like me or not. Ordered a set of the American Legends for my 1911, and I'm debating if I want a set of these for my 6" 686, which currently wears a set of deccelorators for the range. Thoughts?

They look like they would work really well. That solves the issue of sticking to clothing while having the advantage of the tack of rubber on the meat of the grip. One has to either have function or something just for pictures. Sure beats a strictly functional ugly black rifle or the typical economy grade semi-auto pistol with a "polymer" frame.
