What do you want to be when you grow up?

Oh, I don't know... I don't wear a watch any more. The calendar on the wall still says it's February 1998. Most of the "Old" songs are still good for me. I love Lucy is still on TV.

I can still pay Hide and Seek, by myself...:o

So........

I think me and Peter Pan will just continue to pal around.:D

My Mom told me and my brother......

She told us we were going to be garbage men. So, just to get her goat, we went out to the pumphouse outside the kitchen window, one stood on top while the other threw the can up and whistled to move on to the next stop. When my Mom asked what we were doing we told her 'practicing'. We were probably 8 and 10 years old.

Well, I wanted to be rich and good looking but that didn't work out so I'll just stay poor and homely but at least I'm still alive, I think. I better go look in the mirror and see if I'm still throwing a reflection.

I was in the Army for 24 years and for all of those years my Mom used to ask me, year after year, when was I going to get a real job. After the Army I worked for another 23 years as a civilian, near the end of those years my Mom (she turns 100 in a few months!) started saying when the hell was a going to retire and slow down. Once I retired (almost exactly one year ago) she said why don't I come to visit more often, and one of these times, throw her off the roof of the nursing home because she's lived too long. When I said I would not do that, she laughed and said "I guess those years in the Army didn't make you tough enough!". With some Moms, you just can't win!

I dream of the day when, filling out my income tax return, I can put "BON VIVANT" in the space for "occupation."

Ever see the tv show "Gun Stories" with Joe Montegna? I want to be the guy who shoots the guns, he never talks to the camera, he just shoots the guns. I noticed no matter what gun he is shooting he had a locked and loaded 1911 on his belt.

When he retires I want his job.

Either that or I want to be the guy who shots chickens at plane windsheilds. Ed.

Wealth is over rated. We had one fairly opulent year and just blew our money on frivilous things and activities.

We have enough to make it but not so much that we stop appreciating the little things.

I've yet to settle into a career. Jobs are more fun and less commitment.

I'm in good health and am often mistaken for being 10 years younger than I am, but time will catch up to all of us.

All those guys are dead.

So are: George Washington and George S. Patton jr. BUT, they are all still great role modles and true American Patriots. PS, when you spell "Patriot" do so always with a capital "P".
