What EDC folding knife do you carry?

I carried a Vic SAK - the old 'Craftsman' - for years, interspersed with a Buck 110. Unable to put a double bevel edge on a knife that would cut anything other than butter, my knives ended up in a drawer when they were dull. Seven years back, I discovered Kershaws - Scallion, Blur, & Leek models - more eventual fodder for that drawer. My first Benchmade, a 551 Grip in 440c, came so dull NIB that it went directly to that drawer. Then... I discovered the razor-sharp Spydie Native in S30V - and, more importantly, their 'Sharpmaker' - I started emptying that drawer - and buying more Benchmades - some of which came sharp!

I did carry that Native - or a Vic SAK 'Farmer' - or a Boker Tree Brand slippie - in my front pocket, and a 110 or Kershaw JYDII, Needs Work, or Blur in my back pocket. Nowadays it's just a BM 710 D2 in the front pocket - super knife - all I need most days. The Buck 110s still sneak rides, too.

PS Knives are easier to acquire - take up little space - but can still run up a pretty good tab!

S&W ExtremeOps SWA1CP
Inexpensive, sharp, good sized, and easily opened/closed 1 handed.
Then again I usually have 5-6 blades of some type on me at any given time.

I have been carrying an SAK Soldier for years. I used to carry the single blade tacticool one hand openers, but they are just a big blade. I need more tools.

I got the same exact Victorinox for general use. Also been carrying my bbq knife, a Cold Steel Talwar. I paid $143 for that $530 knife. I know the guy who bought the other one that was available and he sold it on ebay for three hundred something. I said "You fool, I still have mine."

Carry a Boker Ceramic once in a while, folding razor blade in my opinion.

Got a S&W knife, piece of crap, like their tritium watches.

Wow, you guys carry some great knives, but I still carry the lowly Victorianox Swiss Army Tinker.

Best knife in this thread. The rest of us are just trying to raise our social status.

Several years ago, a good friend gave me a Benchmade 670 Apparition. It provides for either spring assist or manual opening. My only dislike is that it is not left hand friendly.....I prefer to carry a knife in my support side (left) pocket. I have difficulty deploying it when carried in that manner.

Appalachian Trail. Used to carry Gerber but finally settled on this cheap knife. It is compact and holds a edge very well despite everyday abuse. Used to be anodized blue.

My everyday carry is a Benchmade Auto #3550.

Another favorite, Benchmade OTF Mini-Infidel.

I've had a few Benchmade knives and sure do like them. But, after losing several of them I just carry around a cheap Gerber I can dig with and drop and ding up and not worry about ......

I think it's time to go shoppin' for a nice knife, however...

Plain old Gerber LST that's getting close to 30-years-old now (had it through high school, the Marine Corps and on 'til today). I guess they don't make them anymore but I found a new one last year for when, or if, the original I have ever quits. So far, the first one's still going strong.

Boy, I used to have an LST 15 years ago or so .... I'm not sure if they make them anymore, I sure wish they did .... great little knife.

Hey, nogoodnamesleft, I was mistaken. It looks like they are still making the LST. I just looked through my records and found out it was actually 2008/2009 when I had a hard time finding a spare but now I see they're available all over the internet. GerberGear > Product Details > L.S.T. Let's just hope they're still made in the US and not China.

They are still around. It may be old stock but I buy one when ever I see them, usually at hardware stores. I like the drop point like the one you show. I used to carry those but kept loosing them. Nice little knife, takes and keeps nice edge but their light weight makes them easily overlooked when emptying your pockets.

Benchmade Kulgera, or Benchmade mini-barrage

When wearing dress clothes and a clip is on the pants is not acceptable, I throw a Benchmade Benchmite or Benchmade Shoki in my pocket.

What is the purpose of the 'clip' on the side of some of these knives?

I don't care for the appearance, and it looks like it would interfere with a good hand grip.

Anybody seen the Remington bade assist tanto styled pocket knife, cost about 50 bucks seems very fast and very, very sharp, looks like the SOG shown by Will Carry, We just got them in, other than Ken Onion, and Marine K bars I know absolutely nothing about knifes.
