What EDC folding knife do you carry?

Thanks, that might work. Here's a pic of the knife and sheath for comparison. If you (or anyone else) can recognize it, I'd appreciate it. The knife was my Dad's, but I don't know anything beyond that. As you can see, it was well used, but it is easily the most razor sharp blade I own. I can't get anything to take a blade as well.

The Puma has a 6.1 inch blade, but the guard will get in the way-lemme get a bit cheaper one up to fit it....the double guard sheathes tend to be pretty low cost.

Straight Sheath Black 7" - New Graham Knives

That one WILL fit it since it has the double guard,if I might borrow that pic I may be able to find out what it is,I go to knife forums so I could post it,of course it could be so generic as to be unidentifiable but, hey, never know until you try.

Not counting my boy scout knife from days gone by, my first daily carry knife was a Spyderco Delica that I bought in the early 1990s. When the plastic clip on it broke, I got a Gerber EZ-Out and I've been carrying that one every since. Lost it for a bit last year when I left it on a utility trailer while getting a propane tank refueled. Retraced my steps and found it in the gutter beside the road. It had been runned over. Straightened the flatten clip and cleaned it up a bit. Still going strong. I feel naked without it! :)

Wow, I'd really appreciate that if it you wouldn't mind. I doubt it's worth anything other than to me (even if it was, I'd never sell it). I would love to know more about it. Obviously, it's been well used. Dad had that knife and an old, octagonal barreled, pump .22 (Henry rifle). When I came back after he was diagnosed with liver cancer, the knife was still there, but the rifle was missing. He was conned into selling it for $50 to one of my cousin's on his side. I took the knife. After the funeral, one of his brothers (the one who had that cousin) called to ask if I happened to see a knife, with a leather sheaf with a buck on it... I told him nope, didn't see it. I wasn't about to even let him start some kind of story to get his hands on it. Thanks for the link to the sheaf, I want to keep it and pass it on to one of my sons some day. If you ever find out anything about it, I'd appreciate it, thanks!!!

Gimme anywhere from a few days to maybe a few weeks (I may have to yell at one place I go to-it's so big) but I'll throw it out there and see what I get and PM the info to you.

I'm planning to make knives so I have this overwhelming interest in them, one thing is for sure if it goes back into the 70's or 60's it is possibly tied to one of the bigger makers (maybe) which would be like Eckhorn or Boker-maybe,we'll see.

I have been carrying an SAK Soldier for years. I used to carry the single blade tacticool one hand openers, but they are just a big blade. I need more tools.

I bought two of these on clearance at target. One is still in the package.

Here is my other gem, picture taken from Cold Steel webpage. It's a Talwar, now dis-continued. It originally went for $530 retail. I paid $143, legit. blade is japanese laminate and handle is titanium.

Ok, I noticed a few people mentioned Kershaw, and the Leek. So, I was walking through the BX and saw the knife section. All the knives are displayed in clear plastic packages so you can see them, but I saw a stack of boxes on the bottom shelf just sitting there. The side said "Kershaw", which triggered my memory of this thread. I took a look and found the Kershaw Leek Composite. Ok, so it was $69.99, but it looked really cool and some of you had specifically mentioned it as great so... I now have the Leek Composite for my daily knife (and the larger Spyderco endura 4 for large tasks). Here is the Leek Composite:

If you could give me some exact measurements of the knife, or perhaps trace the outline on a sheet of paper, scan it, and post the picture here, I'd be happy to make a sheath for you for a reasonable price.

Wow, thanks for the offer. I already ordered one from the site recommended by another forum member. But, if it doesn't work out, I will DEFINITELY contact you. BTW, the pic I posted has a ruler in it for size. It fits in my KA-Bar sheath, so it's a pretty standard size and shape.

surprisingly useful.....Kershaw serrated Leek with assisted opening...and WAY sharp!!!!

+1

The Kershaw Ken Onion Knives have turned out to be much better than I expected. I carry a shallot and my wife carries a leek.

I love the design of this knive. It is given to me for my 50th birthday from a couple of good friends.

Last year for Christmas, my wife bought me an LED head lamp. It came packaged with a kind of nondescript Browning folder, which I had been carrying. This year, she gave me a Griptilian, bless her. Guess what I carry now.

In my other pocket, there is a Leatherman Micra. It gets a lot of use.

Benchmade I got from my son, last Christmas.
Great clip-knife & I carry it every day.
But, I do miss my Leatherman.

Just ordered this Kershaw Whiskey Gap for a light duty EDC. It's small with a 2.25" blade and only 3.2" closed with AUS6A stainless.

Will see how it works out... but not a major investment.

Ive had these two for at least a dozen years. The Titanium handled Buck gets more carry as it is legal in a lot more places than the full auto Benchmade Butterfly. Both come with black nylon belt holsters and have an edge you could shave with (but don't try this at home boys and girls). (o;
