Challenge coins

I would love to see pictures of your challenge coins. I have one or two of those.

Also, someone mentioned matchbooks. I used to have one of those overgrown glass floor vases that looked kind of like a snifter that was full of matchbooks. I believe I got rid of them in one of my moves, sometimes there is just too much stuff to lug around to the next dwelling.

I love the "ex-girlfriends/wives" comment. So far, I have only the former, hope never the latter will be.

I know a guy who collects vintage Coleman brand stuff, stoves, camping equipment, you name it. That was a new one on me! He told me that he's made some good coin on it over the years.

Another guy I know collects vintage packs of cigarettes. He has an enormous amount of them, some of them actually have asbestos in the filters! He told me that he has been contacted over the years by several lawyers to purchase those specifically, go figure.

Some years ago, I stumbled across a small collection of Roseville pottery through a distant relative in Ohio. It wasn't anything I was interested in, nor did my wife like it, so I ebay'd it. Just goes to show that there's a butt for every seat.

I have three collections.

One collection is pre-1900 and prior [dating back to 1700s] German beer steins. It is a collection I have not added to in recent times.

My largest collection is pre-prohibition Detroit beer and brewery advertising, brewery items, etc. [aka breweriana] which I have been collecting since 1980.

And finally, but not the least, is my collection of civil war weapons.

My wife collects elephants they range is size from 3/8 of an inch up to 3 feet .. the last time we counted she hand 346
of them .. and there have been more added ..

No room for me to collect anything !!!

Besides guns I accumulate cars, watches, books and hats. What I don't accumulate, because of all those other things, is money. I have more books than anything else, in fact I've just about run out of room for books. My library includes several autographed books. Among the signatures are "Enola Gay" pilot Paul Tibbetts, actor Ernest Borgnine, author Stephen Coonts, and Philadelphia broadcasting legend Captain Noah, among many others.
