I usually fly old glory and a thin blue line version side by side on the front of my house. I'm (we're) still trying to understand what happened in TX. As sad as it is I didn't feel like putting out the TBL flag and flew a Gadsden instead. This weekend isn't about the police anyway, but I hate that I have to think about what was or wasn't done.

RIP Warriors.

Stars and stripes, like every day. Once in a while I put up the Gadsden flag.

My year round 3'X5' "Old Glory" at the front entry.

Today, and on other appropriate holidays I add 14 - 8"X12" flags at the curb line along with 6 - 12"X18" flags along the front walkway.

It seems like a bit much to some, but today I'm honoring those men and women who died while serving in the military.

I happen to live in a community with plenty of active and retired Marines, Navy, and Army folks so I like to wave the flag to thank them for their service too.

Always an American flag.

The second varies between a Bonnie Blue, Appeal to Heaven or a Gadsden.

A large American flag, displayed vertically in front of our garage door. I've had the flag since the 1960s.

When I was in high school, I ran the ROTC color guard that hoisted the flag every morning. "To the Colors" was played on the PA system and every student and teacher became stationery, silent, faced the flag and placed their right hand over their heart while the music was playing. It was a sign of respect for our country that is not often witnessed today.

One of my friends and classmates who was in that color guard was killed in action in Vietnam. I think of him each time I put up the flag at our house, and especially on Memorial Day.

The 1775 Grand Union Flag. Causes consternation amongst people who do not know their history. Being an "Ex-Brit" when I saw this flag flying in the Valley Forge Chapel over 50 years ago, I decided to use it. The number of people who "rant and rave" about how dare I fly a British flag on July 4th.???? I guess pre-1776 history is not taught!! Dave_n
