What guns do you carry the most?

Either my 642 in a pocket holster or a Kimber Unltra Carry II 3inch 1911. Occasionally my Glock 19 in a Maxpedition Versipack.

Preferred ccw gun

I carry the Taurus millenium pro in 40cal smal but manageable with good knock down and 10 rounds with. A slide clip which elimintates any need for a holster works great

M&P 9C in a King Tuk, Starting to look @ pocket guns as the weather gets quite hot here in the summer, and I don't like excessive clothing.

Rock Island .45 GI, XDm 9mm, Taurus PT 145, and Ruger LCR. I rotate them all except for the Rock Island. The one I walk out the door the most with is the Taurus PT145. It is light, easily concealed, and 10 plus one of .45 HP makes for a lot of self defense. I shoot the XDm the best though. It is the sweetest shooting firearm I've ever wrapped my paws around.

I have an M686 and want to put it in the rotation but have to work out the light strike issue. It is brand new and has had approximately 8-10 misfires in 150 rounds. I checked the stress screw and it is tight and it is clean under the star. Maybe after a few more rounds it will perform as it is supposed to. I don't want an 800 dollar range gun.

1) S & W model 637 Airweight, 38 spcl.

2) Taurus model 455, stainless steel, 5shot, 2 in. bbl., 45 ACP

#1 gets carried in warm weather .

#2 is carried when I can wear a coat.

A Kershaw #3650 with a 3 inch blade and speedsafe opening mechanisims , is allways carried winter or summer.....gary

On duty it is a Glock 21, back up is Glock 36.

For socializing I like my M1911A1 Series 70.

Smith Mod. 342 with a wadcutter first up, then four Gold Dots. Nice to carry in a Mika pocket holster, not so nice to fire! Accurate though.

Not really a need to carry too often here in Southeast Alaska. Small towns with no easy off island access. What I carry most often is a modified Super Redhawk 480 Ruger, 4 5/8 inch barrel and reduced to 38 oz. Mostly for "big-brown-furry-things", not two legged varmints. Jim

50/50

about a 50/50 blend of either my .45acp Commander 1911, or, my 5 shot Scandium Frame .357 (with .38 +P's) S&W Hammerless Snubby.... kind of depends on what I'm wearing, where I'm going, and the whims of what feels right for that day

I have three guns I CC but have several other that could be. But the one I carry the most is my Kel Tec P32 in my pocket. When clothing permits, I carry my BG380 in a belt slider at the kidney. Next would be the P32 in a paddle also at the kidney. In colder weather with longer shirt/sweater/coat tails I carry my Ruger LC9 in a paddle at the kidney. With the right ammo I feel that all three are as lethal as needed. In the P32 I shoot a hot 73 grain FMJ from Fiocchi. Gold Dots or Hornady CDs the 380 and 9.

I've never been able to carry IWB front. Even the shortest gun finds a nerve in the groin when I try to set.

One last comment. When I travel I carry the LC9 in my "Jack Bag" (like Jack from the TV show 24) with shoulder sling. In the car it rests just in from of the seat and goes over my shoulder when I get out. I use a Nintendo game bag which is just the right size. I stock the bag with two lights and a spare loaded mag. Much handier than a fanny pack.

George,

I was searching this thread for someone who admitted carrying a Kel Tec P-32. I am new to this forum, just bought a Shield (which I love), retired State LEO Detective, and have many neat guns ranging from 1911's, Sigs, S&W's, Browning's, Glocks, Walthers, and just sold a Rohrbaugh R9s.

I always seem to go back to my P-32 which I have owned for 3 years and has never failed me. I truly trust this little gun and find it interesting how many other/larger types are carried every day.

The P-32 is only 6 oz which is half what even the neat Rohrbaugh was (at 12 oz.).

Also, I hit what I aim at with P-32 and I have gotten used to the trigger pull over the years. I carry a Silvertip in the barrel and top round of the magazine. The rest of the rounds in the magazine are ball ammo to avoid any "rim lock".

Currently I keep a Glock 19 in the glove box and the P-32 always in my pocket. I may replace the G-19 with the Shield however, since if I do want to slip it in my waist band (under my shirt/carried one many years as a detective that way) it is slimmer than the Glock.

By the way, even though my old department is now strictly Sig Sauer's, I qualify for my annual LEOSA nationwide permit with a Glock 19. I seem to "Ace" the qualification course each time I shoot (I have been retired 23 years!).

Just some thoughts (and this is a great forum)

Most Carried: Kahr PM9, followed by Glock 36, all with Speer Gold Dots (Short Barrel).

Very rarely am I without my S&W Model 637.

Magna-style stocks from Smith & Wesson.

This revolver is always my back-up-gun, but rarely my primary weapon.

Depends on the time of year and/or where I'm going. Cold weather, more layers of clothes, M&P Compact 9. Summer, S&W Bodyguard .38 snubby. If I'm going into Detroit, full size M&P, 17+1 with two spare magazines.

I carry a Kimber Pro Raptor as a side gun and a S&W 642 on my back.

Used to be my M&P 9 Compact in the Winter, my S&W 642 in Summer...now my new M&P Shield has taken the place of both of them. What a great gun, accurate shooter and as easy to conceal as my 642. My wife also bought a Shield to replace her Ruger LCR.

I carry a 340 PD or a Ruger LCP depending on the place, weather or clothing worn.

637-1 that I bought new in '99, front-back-jacket pocket, OWB,IWB, ankle, cross draw, under my leg (driving), velcro to my BP vest (backup),fanny pack(jogging) you name...perfect carry gun
Cheers

When I do carry, it is usually a Feg P-63 or a S&W Model 60. I used to carry a 1911 Colt or a Beretta 92FS but I don't go out much anymore.
