What happened to the Night Guards???

I thought Jeff Cooper always maintained that 90% of all handgun battles take place at 20 feet or less. With that big fat 230 grain bullet and no sights whatever I could hit center of mass and one round would do it. All lot of people are nuts about autoloaders like people are nuts about nail guns.

I would strongly disagree with that statement.

If regulated properly a fixed sight gun is just as good and more durable.

Well Rick, I suppose "regulated properly" is the key here. In a half century of shooting handguns, I have rarely encountered a fixed sight handgun that shot to POA past point shooting distance, & I can't recall ever shooting a fixed sight that shot to POA at longer distance, say 50-100 yards. I've also carried adjustable sight guns for a long time, & have never had any problem with them breaking. The so called "advantage" of fixed sights being more rugged, is just not an issue for me. If fixed sights work for you, that's great, but for me, fixed sights are nearly useless, as I can barely see the things. "Different Strokes", I suppose.

I've been on the hunt for a 327NG for probably a year now. Buds has these old listings that are really teasers when they're long gone of how people bought them for $500-600 dollars.

You can occasionally find one on gunbroker but they're asking near new prices for them ($1k+) - but if your demand is high enough, you'll pay for it I suppose.

The thought of having 8 rounds of .357 at my disposal is so enticing, and I'm sure some day one'll cross paths with me and my credit card :D I've already got a spare Hogue Tamer grip ready to go if I ever come across one.
