I shot about 55 pictures around the house with my Nikon D70 yesterday.

Last night I had a few of shots of VSOP Cognac.
In the interest of full disclosure, it was in a rocks glass over ice.
And quite tasty I might add.:D

I haven't been to a range in months, but I finally got out this week. I have a cousin and his three school chums visiting from Berlin, Germany. So I took them to the range.

Boy did they have fun! Of course each chose a zombie target to shoot at (they are all 20 going on 21) and loved the .44 magnum the best, even better than the AR, which they found neat looking, but boring to shoot.

The flash, bang, and kick of that Dirty Harry gun was right up their ally, and put big smiles on their faces.

Ammo is readily available and more affordable than 9mm these days.

No firearms sadly. I bought a remington 700 in .308 win almost a month ago and have yet to have to chance to shoot it :( I even got my scope and scope mount in and haven't even put those on. But Maybe this weekend...

I'm on a project of shooting all my 22s with CCI Gold Tab ammo and recording the acuracy. I shot two guns today: a Springfield M 2, and a Marlin 81DL, that is my first rifle, I got it in 1946. It shot pretty well with it's ancient Weaver 4X 22 scope on it.

Tomorrow it's the Izmash 22 with Weaver K 10 and a Browning T bolt with Weaver K4. Later I plan to shoot a Winder musket and a Krag with Stevens-Pope 22 barrel, both in 22 short, at 25 yds (they were designed to be shot at 50 feet indoors).

Gotta check my Colt M4 with Eotech red dot sight: I haven't fired it in several years and I plan to go where it may be needed.

Yesterday I enjoyed shooting my S&W 629-1 6 1/2" .44 magnum, S&W Mdl 15-3 4" .38spl, and my S&W 34-1 4" .22lr at my local area indoor range. 586L-Frame

I may catch some flack for this...

blujax01,
I'm glad you got to shoot. I'm also glad you have an M&P .45, they're great, but you need to fix your grip. My main concern is your right thumb. By putting it on top of your shooting hand like that you're risking hitting it with the slide as it comes back under recoil. Further, having your support hand underneath like that. does nothing for support. Here's what your grip should look like:

I don't mean to sound condescending. I just don't want you to get hurt and I've seen more than my share come away bleeding with a grip like that.

I like your tattoo though.

What - you don't like the modified cup and saucer grip?;)

'Preciate it and you're right. I dropped my right hand for the sake of the camera shot as my buddy wanted to get the tat in the picture.

I usually keep left hand as you see it and the right forward with my thumbs parallel below the slide. I have been known to lay my right index finger on the front of the trigger guard, too.

I saw the photo and knew if I posted it someone would have the sense to say something. Thanks!

I thought that may be the case, but the instructor in me had to say something. ;)

While I'm sticking my foot in it...don't put your index finger on the front of the trigger guard either. It doesn't help and you lose the added strength the index finger gives to your grip.

Lets see... Kimber pro raptor 2, Ruger 10/22, Marlin 795 .22, Weihrauch Bounty Hunter, Bersa .22, S&W .40, H&K 416 pistol .22, S&W M&P10, HK .308 not sure what model... old school wooden stock, Remington 7600 .308, AK-47... think that's everything.... Me and my buddy gathered up some of our guns and took some guys visiting from Florida to the range, spend 3 hrs there had it all to our seleves... very good day!!

Was shooting some trap last night with the Mossy 835. Didn't do too bad for my 3rd time out. 20/25

Then someone had to go and pull out the 10ga break action... 'Bout put me on my backside... But I hit the clay!
